Happy New Year

We had a fun New Year with my parents this year. Boston and Preston actually stayed up until the New Year, they even beat out my dad who went to bed earlier. New Year's Eve we had a wonderful dinner and watched Tooth Fairy (a little on the dumb side but the boys seemed to enjoy it.) Then we waited until midnight and wathced the ball drop in Time's Square on TV. On New Year's day Erin and her family came up. We wanted to take the kids sledding but once we found a hill it was so bitter cold out that the kids would not go. So my mom took them all back to my Grandma's house to warm up. So me, Gary, Erin, Jon and my dad all had a fun time sledding. I totally forgot my camera though so we did not get any picture of the sledding. Here are a couple pictures though from the weekend.

Our Family

Here we are all together acutally ready for Church on time. We had to capture a picture together as I think it is the only one of all of us together this Christmas weekend.

Chritmas 2010

We had such a great Christmas this year. We went to Gary's parents house this year. We have been trying to stay home for Christmas but two things brought us down for Christmas. First Gary went out the day after Thanksgiving to look at deals. The main gift he bought for the boys took up the whole back of the car so we had to leave it there at Jean and Ernies. Second, Sean had Teagen and Chaz this year for Christmas so we wanted the boys to be able to go and play with them. We don't get to see them very often and Boston and Preston are always missing Teagen and wanting to know when we get to go see him. So we took this opportunity to spend a few days playing with him.
Here are some pictures of our day. Boston and Preston got very spoiled by Santa, and both their grandma's and grandpa's.
Here is the tree after Santa had come.

Here is the kids except Chaz in front of the tree waiting to open presents. They were getting a little anxious as we had to wait for Uncle Paul to get over. But they did so good to wait. I don't think on Christmas morning I could have waited for anything before I started opening presents.

Here is Boston with his Kung Zhu pet.

Boston and Preston with their new MarioKart game from Uncle Steve. I think this was their most favorite present this year. The next couple days were spent with all the boys (big and small) playing this together. Man if I had only known I could have just bought this and been done.

The tent and tunnel from Uncle Paul.

A big hit and the only thing that they had wanted from Santa for a long time until we talked them into what we had bought for their main gift. These were from Grandma and Grandpa Pace.

Gift from Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen. This was a big hit with all them kids.

Their main gift. You can't really tell from the picture but Boston was jumping up and down with excitement. Preston was still trying to get every piece of wrapping paper off before he realized what it was.

Preston finally taking a look. I think he was pretty excited as well.

Here they both are in front of their main gift from Santa. An air hockey/tennis table. I am so glad Santa brought this. The boys were having a hard time deciding what they wanted beside the pillow pets. The only disappointment was that I thought it was air hockey/fuse ball (the soccer game)so I had been telling the boys to ask Santa for a soccer table. Oops. So Preston later said he was sad because he didn't get the soccer game. But he soon got over it.

The boys had many, many more presents from mom and dad, Santa, Grandma's and Grandpa's, and Uncle Sean. Gary and I were spoiled as well. We got money from both of our parents. Gary's parents gave us a really nice, warm blanket. And all of Gary's brothers gave us a gift as well.
It was so nice to see Gary's family for Christmas. We missed having Laurie, Jack, Ty, Connor and Sage. Wished you guys could have been there.
We had such a nice day just relaxing. Like I said most of the day was spent playing MarioKart and other games that the boys had received. We ended the day by watching Despicable Me.
Thanks to everyone who helped make our Christmas so special. We are so grateful for all of our family members and love each one of them. I am so grateful for Gary, Boston and Preston. We are so blessed with everything we have in our life. And most importantly at this time of year I am so thankful for the birth of Jesus Christ, his life and his Atoning sacrifice that he made for me. I am so thankful for the gospel and would be so lost without all of its teachings.
Here are a few pictures of Teagen and Chaz. Again we are so glad they were able to come. We love to see them. Chaz took a little time to warm up but he started to, so we were glad that we got to be around him for a longer time. He was too cute and loved to play peek-a-boo.
