Santa Clause came to town...

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We decided to stay at our own home this year rather than travel to be with our families. It was a lot of fun and good to spend time just us and our boys.
On Christmas Eve we took the boys up to the Bellagio to see the flower garden and the water shows. They had been asking for months to see the water dancing so we thought it would be fun since they would be set to Christmas music. Here are some pictures.
Me, Boston, and Preston in front of a polar bear.

Gary and the boys in front of a snowman.

Reindeer. I think they were made out of some kind of nuts. Not positive though because I didn't read what it was.

And the North Pole made out of flowers.

Boston and Preston's favorite part. The trains. We had to sit and watch these forever and could not leave without saying "goodbye."

The big Christmas tree.

We love to go to Bellagio. We hardly ever go up to the strip but when we do it it to go there and see the flowers and the water dancing. It is always so amazing to see what they can make with the flowers. The boys really enjoyed it.
We then went home and did a lesson on the true meaning of Christmas and gave the boys their new Christmas pj's. Which I did not get a picture of for some reason. But they loved them and loved how soft they were. Then off to bed to wait for Santa. They had a hard time falling asleep. Preston tried sneaking down about 10 times I think. Finally they fell asleep and Santa came.
Here we are in front of the Christmas Tree. Sorry about the naked boys. But I can not keep clothes on them to save my life when we are home. The minute we walk in the door their clothes are off.

Christmas morning.

Boston getting another present.

The aftermath.

Playing with their new remote control jeeps from Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen.

And their big gift from Santa. Their "blue breaker bikes" as they call them. My mom was asking if they got a bicycle from Santa and Preston corrected her saying "Not a bicycle, a blue breaker bike." They have not yet figured out how to ride them but they sure have had fun pushing them around the house.

We had such a good day. It was so fun to have them understand more about Christmas and be excited for Santa to come. They were so excited to leave Santa cookies and milk. We were out of carrots so I asked what they wanted to leave for the reindeer and Preston thought they would like cheese. So they left a couple of string cheeses for them. They were so excited the next morning when everything was eaten.
Boston and Preston got so many fun presents and have just been going from one to the other. Thanks to everyone who sent gifts to them and thanks to Santa for the bikes and other fun gifts.
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and will now have a Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas!!!

We took the boys to see Santa today. They were having a free one at RC Willey so we figured we better go, you can't beat free. The commercial said to bring your camera but they had a guy there taking pictures as well and he handed us this free picture. Awesome. And best of all there was no line. We walked right up and the boys were able to sit down. No waiting.
We were not so sure how the boys would do this year. Boston has gotten to be really shy but when asked if he would sit on Santa's lap he would answer yes. The first couple of times I asked Preston if he would sit on Santa's lap he said "No, I just want to see him." I told him though if he sat on Santa's lap he would get candy so his answer immediately changed to "Yes". I still was not sure though that that would be enough to get him on his lap. Last year Preston would have nothing to do with Santa. He was really excited when we talked about Santa coming but the minute Santa got there he was shaking and crying and would not go near. Last year Boston went right up to Santa and got on his lap and then gave him a hug. So this year we have had a huge improvement for Preston. They both went right up to Santa and got on his lap. They both told Santa that they wanted a Blue Breaker Bike. I was so proud of them that they sat on his lap and told him exactly what they wanted. Here is the picture.

We just want to wish all our family and friends a Very Merry Christmas!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday!!!

I know I already posted about their birthday but today is actually their birthday so I just wanted to add a few cute pictures that we had taken a couple weeks ago at JC Penny. Since we had already celebrated their b-day we didn't really do much today. We invited their friends Jaelyn and Cole Jackson over for lunch and to play. Thanks guys for coming and helping make our day special. And tonight they have requested their favorite for dinner, Chicken Nuggets. They got a couple more fun presents today. From mom and dad they got a car garage where they can drive the cars around and then down a ramp. Dad stopped and bought them some new remote control cars since their ones from Grandma Mac were already broken. Then from Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen they got an easel that has the dry erase board on one side and a chalk board on the other. And Jaelyn and Cole gave them a fun little car racer thing. They have loved everything that they have received and can't decide which thing to play with so they kind of just go from one thing to the next. We will see how long before they are board of everything.
Here are some of their cute pictures.

We are so glad to have Boston and Preston in our lives. They are such good little boys and we love them so much. I hope they had a great day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! WE LOVE YOU!!!
(for anyone who cares there is one more post below of what we did for their b-day)

Pre-Birthday Celebration Weekend

Boston and Preston's birthday is tomorrow, but we celebrated a little early. Grandma and Grandpa Pace, and Uncle Marcus and Aunt Maria (Uncle Mira to Preston) came to help us celebrate. The boys love all things train. They have all sorts of Thomas the Train stuff. Everytime we go to my mom and dad's house you can hear the train going through town and each time it toots its horn we have to go out and watch it go by. Everywhere we go they are watching out for trains. So we decided for their birthday to take them out to Boulder City and ride the train down there. Here are some pictures of the day.

We started out the ride in this outdoor car. Preston was a little bit nervous and would not go stand by the edge to look out. He was happy just sitting on grandma's lap. Here is all of us, except Gary who is taking the picture, waiting for the ride to start.

This is an old train in the train museum.

On the second half of the trip we decided to go sit in one of the indoor cars. Here is all of us enjoying the ride. After we got into the indoor car Preston was a lot more relaxed and was standing up looking out the window and dancing around to the old music they were playing.

The train ride wasn't all that spectacular. There wasn't a whole lot to see but the important thing is the boys had fun. As soon as we got done they kept saying they wanted to go again. And everyday they tell how fun it was to ride the train and that they still want to do it again.
Later that night we opened presents and had birthday cake. Here is Boston and Preston with some of their loot. They are so spoiled I hate to say it but they still have more to open tomorrow on their birthday.

I for some reason didn't take any pictures of them while they were opening their gifts but they got some really nice things. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for the books, BYU sweatshirts, the games Candyland and Don't Spill the Beans. Thanks to Great Grandma Mac for the monster trucks (which saddly are already broken but still usable, it doesn't take them long to destroy things.) Thanks to Aunt Erin, Uncle Jon, Rylee and Taylor for the Cars bowling pins. Gary and I got them a Cars and Little Einsteins laptop computers.

Here is a picture of their cake. It is a CARS cake and Preston was a little disappointed as first. We went to Sam's Club to get the cake. He really wanted a Thomas the Train cake but they were all out of the things for it. So we settled for this one. Everytime someone asked Preston about the cake he would get all sad and tell them "Thomas cake is lost". This one was cute and yummy. I was not about to attempt a cake this year. I am not very good at making just the cake part let alone making it cute so we went for the store bought one and sorry to say that is how it will be every year from now on.

Here is Boston enjoying his cupcake.

And here is Preston his first cupcake. He let me take a picture and then put it down because there were too many toys to play with so it got eaten by someone else.

And here he is after coming back for a new cupcake and after he enjoyed the whole thing.

And here is a cute picture of them playing on their new computers. Don't they look like they know what they are doing?

Thanks everyone who helped make Boston and Preston's birthday a fun one. It was fun to have you guys here. I will post more pictures tomorrow I'm sure as the celebration continues.

Fun Weekend

This last weekend we had some visitors. Gary's mom, his brother Sean, and Sean's son Teagan came to visit. Boston and Preston had so much fun playing with their cousin, Teagan. They were so sad to see him go and keep talking about things that they did with him. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.
We played baseball at the park.

I think this is the cutest picture of the boys together. We found Teagan with his arms around Boston and Preston like this a couple of time during the weekend.

We decided to check out the Adventure Dome in Circus Circus. Gary and I have lived here for like 8 years and have never been. Everytime Boston and Preston see a roller coaster they say they want to go on it. So we let them try this one. We rode on this school bus to start out. You just sit on it and go around in circles.

Boston loved it and wanted to go again. Preston did ok but when we were done and I asked if he wanted to go on another ride he said, "No, I had enough." Boston did go on one other ride that was an airplane that went around in circles. You could use a handle inside to go up and down but he could not figure it out. He loved that one as well and did not want to leave. I didn't get any pictures of this one though. I don't know what we were thinking. Boston is my little adventurer.
We also went swimming both days. Some friends of mine live in a neighborhood with a community pool. So we headed over there Friday. Teagan had so much fun that when we would ask what he wanted to do on Saturday he kept saying he just wanted to go swimming. So we went back Saturday too. Here are some pictures at the pool.

Thanks guys for coming we had alot of fun and hope to see you all again soon.
