Happy New Year

Well since I am a slacker and did not get any Christmas cards sent out this year I thought I would share these cute pictures that my SIL took of the boys. They are getting so big.
This picture totally cracks me up. I think it looks like an engagement picture. But when Maria asked how they would like to pose this is what Boston did. He is so sweet and just wanted to hug his brother in a picture I guess.

So Smart

Boston and Preston are getting so smart. They have learned so much this year in their Kindergarten class. They have an amazing teacher. They are both reading so well and doing very good in math. The other night I went to a literacy night at the school. Their teacher sent these white boards home that they could practice writing words on. They both have loved using it. Boston especially. He made his own homework one night. He came to me with this on his board. He had done 1+1=2 and then continued on with 1+each #. I took this picture but then he continued on all the way to 1+16=17. I know it is just 1+ a # but I thought that it was pretty good considering no one had asked him to do it.

First time sledding

So with all this snow we have gotten I had to get Boston and Preston out sledding. We have tried in previous years but they never wanted to do it. And since I am not one to go out in the cold I never pushed it. But this year we had so much snow so I talked them into it. Preston did not want to at first so I did the first run with him and then he realized how fun it was and did not want to stop. By the end we were on the steepest part of the hill on a run that someone had built a little jump on. Boston and Preston had so much fun I had to beg them to leave. Boston and Preston.
Preston was so sweet he wanted a picture with me in it so here I am with Boston.
Of course then Boston wanted to take a picture of us so here I am with Preston.

Christmas 2012

Well we had a wonderful Christmas this year. We were able to start our celebrations a little early on the Friday before Christmas. We headed down to my parents house for a Christmas party since everyone was going to be home. We had a great time. The kids played together and then did a gift exchange. Boston and Preston got some fun Batman walkie talkies from a couple of the Winter's girls (sorry I am not quite sure which two). We played some fun games and enjoyed spending time with everyone there together. It was especially fun to have Marcus, Maria and Braxtyn home. The next day on Saturday my niece, Rylee, was baptized. We are so proud of her. She is such a great cousin to Boston and Preston. Rylee we love you. I don't know how but I did not get a single picture of that weekend. After that we headed back up to Provo to the Knudsen's to spend Christmas with them. We were so excited to have Teagen, Chaz, and Uncle Steve there. We got to spend a lot of great time with everybody. Like usual we were all spoiled. Here are some pictures. We let the cousins exchange gifts on Christmas Eve. Somehow I only got a picture of Preston with his but Teagen, Chaz and Uncle Sean gave them these super soft Giants blankets. We thought maybe these would take the place of their baby blankets but no such luck yet. They do love these though and they are so super soft to cuddle up with.
The Christmas tree before the destruction began
The kids in front of the tree.
Preston and Boston opening the Beyblades.
Boston opening his main present from Santa. Skylanders for the Wii.
Preston opening his present from Santa.
Where is it?
Another thing to unwrap.
Finally. Mario 3D Land for the 3DS.
This was one of the present from mommy and daddy which they both got but again only a picture of Preston. They had seen these little dogs one day when I had gone into Maurices to buy some clothes. They wanted them so bad that they were willing to pay their own money for them. I told them that if they wanted them they had to give two of the stuffed animals they already had to the DI. Well they both came home and thought about it and cried that they could not get rid of any of their animals. So I was nice and did it for them for Christmas. They were so surprised.
Now their main gift together from Santa.
Which they have not been able to use since it has looked like this plus some more since Christmas. One of these days hopefully the snow will melt and we can play a little basketball. Luckily we have been able to go over to the church to play in the gym until it warms up again.
These are just some of the things that they got for Christmas. They were so spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa Pace, Grandma Mac, Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen, Uncle Steve and Uncle Paul. We had such a wonderful Christmas. It was so nice to spend time with our families. We are so blessed and thankful for all that we have. We hope that all our friends and family members we were unable to see or talk to had a very Merry Christmas.
