Happy Halloween

I know it probably seems like a lot of pictures of these guys in their Halloween Costumes but if you notice they took turns being Mario and Luigi so I had to get pictures of them both being one or the other. So tonight for trick or treating Boston was Mario and Preston was Luigi. They also donned the mustaches for each character.

Daddy joined in on the mustache club.
Gary took them around a few blocks here and they were gone for over an hour and by the time they got back they really didn't have too much candy for how long they were gone. It is amazing how people seem to just disappear when it is time to pass out the candy. We did get to go to Gary's office and go to all the cubicles to get candy so they really do have plenty. They also had lots of fun. They met up, by chance, with a boy in their class and they came home telling me all sorts of stories. We also carved a couple of pumpkins. Can't wait until these guys can do the whole project themselves. They lasted about 10 minutes then we had to finish the rest. But I think they turned out pretty good. This was Preston's pick and Gary helped him get it all carved.
Here is Boston's pick and the one that I carved.
Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Parade

Boston and Preston's school is right next to a care center so today they had a little Halloween Parade.

Halloween Party

Grandma Pace had her annual Halloween Party and we were able to go. The boys look forward to this I think about all year long so there was no way they were going to let us miss it. We are sure glad we went too, we had so much fun. Grandma and Grandpa

They got made up as mummies also for one of the games.

Look Who's 6

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Sat. October 6th, was Boston and Preston's 6th birthday. They wanted to have a birthday party with their cousins. Since my side of the family is the only one with cousins close enough we headed down to my mom and dad's for their big day. They wanted a Super Mario Brothers party. The kids had a fun day playing together and then later that night we took some of the kids bowling, which I didn't get any pictures of. Boston and Preston had a great day and we are so thankful for all our family for participating. The birthday boys.

The desserts. I looked everywhere for a Mario cake or cupcake toppers but could not find anything. I didn't want to spend a lot on cake too because my boys are not big cake eaters. So I made the cupcake toppers myself and was quite happy with how they turned out. I am not too crafty but thought they looked good. These were sugar cookie bars because we love sugar cookies more than cake. Ignore the half not frosted but we are not frosting eaters either.
The cupcakes.
The party goers minus a few babies. Rylee, Taylor, Tanna, Preston, Boston and Isaac
Presents! They got some good presents. They got the game Sorry that they have been asking for forever, a Nintendo 3DS, some games for the DS, some nice warm jackets, some money, a Turtle DreamLite, dart guns, a puzzle and some nice handmade pictures from Tanna, Rylee and Taylor.
Maria and Erin did a treasure hunt for the kids.
