Look who stopped in to our house last night. It was Mrs. Clause and one of her helpers. She was just checking to see who has been naughty and nice and making sure Santa has everything on his list. She also talked to the boys about Rudolph and how it is okay to be different. Then they sang Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer together and she gave Boston and Preston a yummy treat. Boston and Preston are pretty sure it was the real Mrs. Clause and not just a helper like when we see Santa. What a nice lady that Mrs. Clause (a.k.a Sis. Frandsen) is.

Happy Halloween

I know it probably seems like a lot of pictures of these guys in their Halloween Costumes but if you notice they took turns being Mario and Luigi so I had to get pictures of them both being one or the other. So tonight for trick or treating Boston was Mario and Preston was Luigi. They also donned the mustaches for each character.

Daddy joined in on the mustache club.
Gary took them around a few blocks here and they were gone for over an hour and by the time they got back they really didn't have too much candy for how long they were gone. It is amazing how people seem to just disappear when it is time to pass out the candy. We did get to go to Gary's office and go to all the cubicles to get candy so they really do have plenty. They also had lots of fun. They met up, by chance, with a boy in their class and they came home telling me all sorts of stories. We also carved a couple of pumpkins. Can't wait until these guys can do the whole project themselves. They lasted about 10 minutes then we had to finish the rest. But I think they turned out pretty good. This was Preston's pick and Gary helped him get it all carved.
Here is Boston's pick and the one that I carved.
Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Parade

Boston and Preston's school is right next to a care center so today they had a little Halloween Parade.

Halloween Party

Grandma Pace had her annual Halloween Party and we were able to go. The boys look forward to this I think about all year long so there was no way they were going to let us miss it. We are sure glad we went too, we had so much fun. Grandma and Grandpa

Taylor, Rylee, Boston and Preston
They got made up as mummies also for one of the games.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for another super fun party. We love you.

Look Who's 6

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Sat. October 6th, was Boston and Preston's 6th birthday. They wanted to have a birthday party with their cousins. Since my side of the family is the only one with cousins close enough we headed down to my mom and dad's for their big day. They wanted a Super Mario Brothers party. The kids had a fun day playing together and then later that night we took some of the kids bowling, which I didn't get any pictures of. Boston and Preston had a great day and we are so thankful for all our family for participating. The birthday boys.
Our family
The desserts. I looked everywhere for a Mario cake or cupcake toppers but could not find anything. I didn't want to spend a lot on cake too because my boys are not big cake eaters. So I made the cupcake toppers myself and was quite happy with how they turned out. I am not too crafty but thought they looked good. These were sugar cookie bars because we love sugar cookies more than cake. Ignore the half not frosted but we are not frosting eaters either.
The cupcakes.
The party goers minus a few babies. Rylee, Taylor, Tanna, Preston, Boston and Isaac
Presents! They got some good presents. They got the game Sorry that they have been asking for forever, a Nintendo 3DS, some games for the DS, some nice warm jackets, some money, a Turtle DreamLite, dart guns, a puzzle and some nice handmade pictures from Tanna, Rylee and Taylor.
Maria and Erin did a treasure hunt for the kids.

Last but not least cutie bug Keely was there too.

Family Fun

My mom wanted to do one last family get together before the end of the summer. Unfortunately we were missing Marcus and Maria, but everyone else was able to come. We met up at our house and had lots of fun. The first day we rented a bounce house and that kept the kids and adults entertained for most of the day. It was a lot of fun. Here are some of the pics.
This is my cute niece Keely. I just think she is the cutest baby girl ever.
And this is my best buddy Sam. We sure love spending time together.
We also headed over to Bear Lake for one last time this summer. I don't know why but this is the only pic we got of the day. It kind of helps you to see the pretty blue water.
Thanks Mom and Dad we had a lot of fun.

New Posts

Well I just did a bunch of posts with all we have done this summer. It goes all the way to Gone Fishin' if you are interested in looking.

Kindergarten

Well my "babies" are just getting too big on me. On Tuesday, August 28th they started Kindergarten. They did so good. We did not have any screaming or crying about going in. They both looked a little nervous as they were waiting for the bell to ring and the teacher to open the door. But when I picked them up at the end of the day they both said they loved it. Right now they have Mrs. Jensen. It could change though because right now they have 41 kids in their class so they are working on opening up another class. So not sure how they will pick who goes to that class but she is their teacher right now. They looked so handsome on their first day.

End of Summer Vacation

Well Gary has been pretty busy at work this summer so we had not been able to really get away. So we planned a little end of the summer get away. We did part of it this last weekend and then we are going to do one more thing on Monday. So on Saturday we headed up to Park City. First we did a little school shopping at the outlet mall and then we headed up to our hotel. A friend of ours got us an awesome deal at the amazing resort he works at. We were able to stay at the Stein Eriksen lodge. It was so nice. I think the boys thought they had died and gone to heaven staying at the hotel. We got to go swimming and enjoy the hotel.
My boys finally decided they loved the water. Here they are actually swimming under the water.
Enjoying the hot tub.
They also had to give the big jetted bath tub a try before we left.
We also went and rode the Alpine Slides. We had so much fun.
