New Posts
So just the usual here, pretty boring. But finally getting around to doing some updating on the blog. As per the usual lots of catching up to do.
Swimming
In the last couple weeks we have been able to spend some time with Teagen and Chaz. The boys have been loving swimming this year. We went to the Scerra pool a few weeks ago down in Orem and then to the pool here in Brigham last weekend. Here are a few pictures.
The Scerra Pool:
The Brigham City Pool:
This isn't the best picture to show but the Brigham City Pool has a three story slide and Boston and Preston were so brave and went down it. Preston went a few times by himself and Boston would go with Gary and then Gary would let him go and him would basically come down by himself. They have gotten so much braver in the water this year. Last year we could barely even get them in the water. It's a good thing swimming lessons are on the schedule for this summer.
Boys
I can not get over the things boys do sometimes. It is crazy how they just seem to be born with these habits. I went it to check on the boys one night and this is how I found Boston. I was laughing so hard and I of course had to take a picture.
A few days later Gary got a pic of Preston doing the same thing. I can't find it now but if I do I will have to add it on.
Boys will be boys.
Preschool Graduation
So Boston and Preston graduated from Preschool this year. They have gone to Peak-A-Boo Preschool for the last two years. They have had so much fun there and did not want to leave. They kept telling me that they did not want to go to kindergarten they just want to go back to preschool. I wish I could help them with that but I can't. This year they had Miss Kim and Miss Michelle. They were such fun teachers. Towards the end of the school year I had this conversation with Preston after picking him up from school. Me: "Did you guys have a good day at school?" Both Preston and Boston "Yes" then Preston says to me "But I did have one bad thing" Me "What was that?" Preston "I had to come home", well that was kind of a blow for me as the mom who they did not want to come home to, but I am sure glad that they had such a good year in preschool. I feel so bad, because I did not take any pictures of the boys with their teachers. But here are a few from graduation. Sorry for the bad pictures. There was such horrible lighting there and my camera would not work very good.
At the graduation they had each of the kids stand up and they said a little something about them from the year and gave them an award. Boston and Preston went up together and they got the "Farmer Award". The reason for this was because they had grown so much from the first of the year in so many ways. They had grown a lot in their learning, their social skills, they went from me having to just push them in the door crying for me not to leave to walking in confidently and excited to learn. They had also grown out of their fears of somethings. They have an adventure land at the school which is basically like a McDonald's Playland. The first few months when they would go there they would not do much. They were too scarred to go down the big slide and to do many things. But by the end of the year I think they had both overcome those fears and went down the slides and really enjoyed playing there.
Gary and I are so proud of them and we know that they will enjoy kindergarten so much.

Payment
So in the next post I talk about how Boston and Preston learned to ride their bikes. Well this is what they got with their money. Welcome the newest members of our family. The closest these boys will be to a pet anytime soon.
They sure love these little stuffed animals. It is a good thing they didn't really have to name a pet though. They were a little uncreative when it came to names. Boston named his "Doggy" and Preston named his "Fluffy Puppy".
Bike Riders
We now have 2 wheel bike riders. It is kind of a funny story of how they learned too. So Gary had taken the training wheels off of their bikes last summer and told them he would pay the $5 or something if they learned to ride the bikes. Well every time we tried to get them to ride they would have nothing to do with it. They would just say they wanted the training wheels back on. Anyway cut to this spring. We have a neighbor boy who comes over to play and kept saying he wanted to teach them how to ride their bikes. I would always say no because I really didn't think he could teach them and didn't really trust him either with letting him help them on the two wheel bikes. Well one day they were out back playing and he asked if he could go home and get his bike. So he did. Well they were back there for like maybe 20 minutes and his mom called for him to go home. When I went back there to get him I see Boston riding by on his bike. I was like "what in the world, Brandt did you teach him how to do that!?" Anyways in that short time they were back there he had taught both Boston and Preston to ride their bikes. It was crazy, I could not believe that a 7 year old could teach them when we had been trying forever to get them to even get on. I was pretty excited and you better believe they remembered that Gary had offered them money if they learned and wanted him to pay up. But man do they love going for bike rides now. Everyday they want to go a little bit further than the day before. It has been a lot of fun to go for bike rides as a family.
