Help!!!

I need some help thinking of things to make my boys for lunch. My boys were kind of late at eating. Just up until about 2 months ago they were still just eating jarred baby food. I kind of got spoiled with that because I really didn't have to think of things to make them. I am in a major rut, O.K. so I know that everyone gets into ruts with meals,(at least I think I am not the only one) but this one is getting really bad. We do okay with breakfast and then they just eat whatever we have for dinner. Lunch however is hard for me. I have never been a big eater at lunch and usually stick to the same couple of things or I don't have anything. But I know, I know I can't do that to them. They are growing boys and I want to keep it that way. Anyway, I need help. If any of you who take the time to look at my blog see this I am open to suggestions. I am also always up for suggestions for breakfast and dinner if you have any great ideas. I am begging for easy things that don't take alot of ingredients or time. If you have anything you would like to share as far as ideas or even if you know of any good websites to go to or cookbooks that are worth buying please leave me a comment.

Thank you for your help.

UPDATE:
I also just wanted to give a little update as to what we have been up to seeing as I have not posted in about a month. Well seeing as it has been that long you can probably guess what we have been up to... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I don't even have any cute pictures of the boys to share. They are so much fun and I can't believe how old they are getting. They are starting to talk more and more everyday. Still no sentences or anything but it is still fun to have the say a few words. They are getting more wild each day it seems. Sometimes it is enough to drive me insane but I wouldn't trade it for anything. One excited thing on the new front. Gary and I may be buying a new house. We have signed all the papers and now we just have to get all the loan stuff done. We are really excited and keeping our fingers crossed that it all works out. It will be done, hopefully by the end of September. It is in the Northwest in the new Providence community. Pictures are sure to come as soon as we know it is for sure, until then I don't want to post too much and have our hopes up and then have it not work out.

lunches...well, i'm with you, they can be tricky. Sage (and the boys) love cottage cheese, scrambled eggs (in the microwave) so quick and easy, chunks of cheese. Dinner is sage's big meal though (like me) so I certainly can't brag about all her wonderful lunches either.

I just heard about the potential move from mom. How exciting. I'll have to call you to get more of the details but we'll be crossing our fingers it all works out. Can't wait to see some photos!!!

Ok - i have to run to church right now (i'm sick so i skipped sacrament but have to be there to play piano) so i don't have time to comment very much yet. But what!!!??? You can't move!!! Not only will i miss you guys, but its just hilarious that everytime they call someone into the primary presidency they up & move! Way to keep the trend going! :)
Providence is nice but its so far from here. My little sister was going to move there cause she lived nearby in an apartment but they ended up moving to Nephi instead. But of course I want you guys to be happy, so i'll bury my disappointment and just come to grips with the fact that everyone I know always moves away!!!

Ugh - lunch time. My 2 middle children are a mom's dream for lunches - they will eat peanut butter sandwiches or toast every single day. They never tire of the same thing. My 1st & 4th children though are a totally different story. I DREAD ever having to make them lunch (thus why Maddy usually buys her lunch at school most days). Mallory went through a phase where she loved eating ritz crackers & Kraft singles (i'd break the cheese into pieces). Then to make it a bit more rounded I'd throw in a little fruit or meat or something (but she's never really liked meat much). Now she won't eat that anymore. And she's never done very well at eating sandwiches - she just tears them apart & throws them on the floor. Last week I bought some corn dogs to see if she would like those - nope she hated them (luckily her brother loves them though). I also bought those "Uncrustables" in the freezer section. My sister said her kid will eat those but not sandwiches. Mallory ate half of one the first day i gave her one, but she didn't eat it the 2nd day. So who knows. I usually just offer her a variety of stuff & sometimes she eats it & sometimes she doesn't. I figure she eats well enough at breakfast & sometimes dinner to make up for it. Kids won't starve themselves so that's always a relief I keep in the back of my head when I'm frustrated at finding things she'll eat. She loves bananas & fruit cups (especially mandarin oranges) too. I've heard other people's kids like mac & cheese too.

Can i just say though - how did you ever get away with feeding them bottled food for so long???? I'm so jealous. Mine are usually done by their 1st birthday! You had it nice!

So, we are not very creative for lunch at my house either. Some of the things Jaelyn loves is Chicken Nuggets, grilled cheese sandwiches, Mac-N-Cheese, tortilla's with cheese, frozen pizza, Rice with cream of Chicken on it (I also mix some sour cream and cheese with it and she loves it), left over pasta from dinner. I will say she eats a cheese sandwich 90% of the time. She also likes Top Ramon. Not so healthy, but she eats it. I also sometimes will get bread dough like crescent rolls and make baby pizza's. Sorry, probably not much help. I'll keep thinking and get back to you.

what i do for aj is a lot of different things. he is a big eater and a good eater. he likes grilled cheese, mac & cheese either plain or i sometimes mix hotdogs in it, chicken nuggets, mini corn dogs, pb&j, soups and whatever i am eating that day. i also try to put something with it like yogurt, a pudding cup, jello or goldfish. another thing i used to use are made from gerber. they are gerber graduate meals that have a main dish and veggies. one thing i have found for breakfast that aj LOVES is oatmeal with cut up fresh fruit in it. i hope you get your house even though we will miss you at chruch.

Stouffer's makes this macaroni and cheese that is in a resealable bag that is 3 pounds or something. It's awesome! You take a cup of it and it's about 1 minute in the microwave and it's done. No mixing, no boiling water, just nuke it for a minute and lunch time! Kaleb loves it, and I think it's really good. Thats my fast lunch tip.
